Aluminium branch circuits
Aluminium was used widely for branch circuits between about 1965 and 1973. It expands and contracts more than copper, which loosens connections at outlets and switches over decades until one of them overheats.
It does not always need a full rewire. Properly rated connectors at every termination is sometimes enough, and it is a fraction of the price. We will price both.
